International Painting Competition 2021 Niğde-TURKEY– “The City Where Civilizations” Live NIGDE
This event, which will be held together with Niğde Municipality and Art Niğde International; It is supported by ANI (Turkey), GAPi (Netherlands), PAS (Portugal), Leading Art (Iran), Acces (France) and Arte Global (Brazil).
Subject: “The City Where Civilizations Live” NIGDE
The aim of design and international artists is to beautify the nature of the city of Niğde with art, to make the nature more beautiful with art, and to promote its goals and historical goals with its integrity.
We invite all the world artists to take part in this event that will be held in 2021.
APPLICATION AND PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
- The Contest is open to all national and international professional and amateur artists over the age of 18, except for the members of the Selection Committee and the first degree relatives of the jury members.
- Participation in the competition is free of charge.
- The works that will participate in the competition are expected to interpret the culture, history and beauties of Niğde city through the eyes of the artist. Realistic or abstracted oil paint or acrylic works on canvas, inspired by or reinterpreting Niğde photographs, will be accepted.
- The artwork will be sent without frame. There should be no names, logos, dates etc. related to the participant on the work.
- A violation of the rules is applied to the participant who makes all kinds of interventions and changes on the works sent to the competition, to show the work as his own, even though it does not belong to him, and to mislead the selection committee.
- The short side of the works should not be less than 60 cm.
7. For preliminary evaluation; The artist’s name, surname, short CV, face photo, country, residence address, e-mail address and phone number as well as the resolution digital photo of the works will be sent to the e-mail address (photo@nigde.bel.tr) belonging to the Niğde Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Directorate, and no alternative submissions ( cargo, hand delivery, etc.) will not be accepted. (appendix 2)
8. High resolution copy of the work (1 – 5 MB jpg), name, size, technique and year should be stated.
9. The regulatory authority is not responsible for the problems that occur in the visuals of the works sent via e-mail.
10. The results of the preliminary evaluation will be notified to the owners of the works by e-mail on the relevant dates.
11. The works accepted as a result of the preliminary evaluation will be delivered to the Niğde Municipality Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, ready to be exhibited, by hand or by courier.
12. In case of damage to the works sent via cargo, all responsibilities belong to the participant.
13. Shipping cost belongs to the participant himself.
14. The delivered works will be evaluated by the Selection Committee and the winners will be announced on the Niğde Municipality website in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
15. The awards of the winners of the achievement and honorable mention will be transferred by Niğde Municipality to the account number specified in the Application Form (Annex-2) within 30 days from the announcement of the winners.
16. The right to use all the works that won the award and the right to be exhibited in the competition belong to the Municipality of Niğde. When the participant participates in the competition, he/she is deemed to have accepted the publication of his/her work (book, magazine and bulletin) by Niğde Municipality.
17. All the works submitted for this competition will be cataloged by the municipality of Niğde. A certificate of participation and a catalog will be sent to the addresses of the participating artists who are entitled to awards and exhibitions.
18. The work for which the participant wins an award and the right to exhibit in the competition is deemed to have been donated.
19. The works of the participants who won the award, the right to exhibit and donated their works in the competition will remain permanently in the Niğde Municipality Art Collection and will be documented.
20. Unauthorized use, copyright, etc. related to the images to be included in the works. The legal responsibilities that may arise from the demands belong to the competitor.
21. The owners of the works who are successful in the preliminary evaluation by the selection committee will be informed by e-mail and they will be asked to send the works to the given address. Work must not be submitted before.
22. Each participant can participate in the competition with a maximum of 1 (one) work.
23. The competition commission and the jury are authorized for issues not specified in the specification or for possible disputes. Its decisions are binding.
24. All contestants participating in the contest by submitting works are deemed to have accepted to comply with the contest conditions specified in the specification. Participants who do not comply with these conditions will be excluded from the competition.
REGULATORY RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
At the end of the competition, on the works that received awards, honorable mentions and exhibitions, the processing defined in Article 21 of the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846, reproduction defined in Article 22, dissemination defined in Article 23, representation defined in Article 24 and 25. The financial rights of transmission to the public by means of the sign, sound and/or image transmission defined in the article shall belong to the Niğde Municipality indefinitely together with the owner of the work. Within the framework of these rights, Niğde Municipality will be able to use and make the work available indefinitely, in Turkey or abroad, in Turkish or in all other world languages, in all kinds of media and in any material content, by specifying the name of the author (In case of graphic arrangements such as photo collage, etc., the owner of the work will be able to use it. name not available).
THE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OWNERS
The owners of the award, honorable mention and exhibition, the award amounts stated in this specification also replace the royalty fee; accepts that he will not make any demands from the Municipality of Niğde, regardless of the name, regarding the use or transfer of the work, other than the monetary awards given for the works that received awards, honorable mentions and exhibitions.
The Author states that the work is his own original work and that third parties do not have any rights on this work; that he has not previously transferred the rights on his work; In case of a request to the contrary by third parties, the owner of the work is legally responsible; declares, accepts and warrants.
The works that receive awards, honorable mentions and exhibitions in the competition will be published on the Niğde Municipality http://nigde.bel.tr website.
EXECUTIVE
This Painting Contest is organized by Niğde Municipality. Niğde Municipality will carry out the specification provisions of this Competition. After the competition results are announced, the awards will be sent by Niğde Municipality to the personal bank account/IBAN numbers that the beneficiaries will notify in writing. In case the beneficiary does not notify the account number, the award will expire after 3 months from the date of the announcement of the results. In case of statute of limitations, the right holder cannot claim any award, royalty, etc.
