International Comic / Manga School Art Contest 2023
This is a manga, comic book and illustration competition open to students worldwide. Winners qualify for cash prizes, digital creation software, pen tablets, and the chance to be featured in the media! The contest is also an opportunity for your work to be evaluated and criticized by professional creators and for you to improve your skills. There are so many categories to choose from and plenty of opportunities to win prizes! We look forward to your entries!
Contest theme (all categories): Light and Dark
School registration: 1 November 2022 – 3 April 2023, 09:00 UTC
Shipping period: 1 December 2022 – 10 April 2023, 09:00 UTC
Winner announcements: Early July 2023 (interim)
Application Guidelines: We are looking for entries for the following six categories. All categories share the same Light and Dark theme.
Comic Category (Color) : An original color comic book for each age (8-32 pages including cover).
Manga Category (Black & White/Color) : An original black and white or color manga for all ages (8-32 pages including cover).
Bande Dessinée Category (Color) : An original bande dessinée for all ages (8-32 pages including cover).
Webtoon Category (Color recommended) : An original webtoon for each age (800 x 20,000-300,000 pixels in size or a height ratio of 25 to 375 pixels for an image of 800 pixels or less when the width is set to 1).
Storyboard Category : A 4-16 page manga, comic book, or webtoon drawn according to the outline provided.

Illustration Category : Original colorful illustration for all ages. There are no size requirements.
-Submissions can be created using any drawing tool or software. If you are creating your post using traditional tools, please submit a digital scan of the image. (Paper submissions will not be accepted)
-There are no requirements for the language depicted in the works. However, works in English tend to reach the widest audience.
-Entries will not be made public until the jury results are announced.
-For the Comic, Manga, and Bande Dessinée categories, please submit your work to the category you think is most appropriate. However, each category indicates whether applications in color and/or black and white are accepted. In the event that the entries do not expressly comply with the category requirements, the organizers of the contest reserve the right to change the category of the entry in question.
